A little set back!

Overall, Kayden had a pretty good day and it was so nice to see some more smiles on his little face!  Although he threw up after lunch again today he was feeling quite good and was very chatty this afternoon!  Unfortunately, he has developed a rash over the last day or so and it was considerably worse today.  This afternoon, they had to move him into an isolation room and now needs to stay there until they can figure out the cause.  The doctors don't think that it has anything to do with his heart, but think that it may be some kind of viral infection.  Along with the rash he has a bit of a stuffy nose and was starting to cough a little this evening, which can be quite painful.  They took a blood test, stool sample, and nasal sample and we will know more when the results come back.  They also had to put Kayden back on I.V fluids because he is getting rid of more fluids then he is taking in.  We are hoping and praying that they are able to figure things out by tomorrow and he can get out of isolation.  Not being able to leave the room will make it harder for Kayden to get stronger at walking, and not to mention very boring for him.

Kayden had a number of visitors today which was a great distraction for him as well as us.  My aunt and uncle, along with two cousins came out this afternoon and then shortly after we had a visit from my friend April.  Me and April went and picked up some supper from Boston Pizza, as Kayden requested pizza.  It was nice to get out of the hospital for a while and catch up on old times.  We brought supper back and enjoyed it with Kayden and we actually had to tell me to stop eating so much and save the rest for tomorrow, in order to avoid another vomiting incident.  He was also able to enjoy watching the hockey game with his daddy!

Thanks again for all the thoughts, prayers, visits and words of encouragement over the past couple of weeks!

Watching the hockey tonight with daddy!
