Well, we are still waiting for a date for Kayden's heart surgery. We were told to expect the end of January but it is in the hands of Edmonton right know so we will continue to wait and pray that Kayden stays healthy until surgery date. Kayden is starting to have more symptoms these days, mostly sweating and getting tired easy. He seems to understand what is going on and doesn't seem to worry too much, so that has been a huge blessing.
Our church prayed for Kayden and our family today and that brought a lot of peace to all of us. We asked Kayden after if he knew why we were up there and what they were praying for. He responded "for my operation". I think it really means a lot to him to have so many people thinking and praying for him. We also showed him all of the pictures that people colored at the fundraising social and that made him feel very special.
We are all off to Winnipeg today and tomorrow for a few appointments for Kayden. Two days of dental work followed by a ultrasound of his bladder. They found a small indentation of his bladder (not sure what that exactly means) so they need to figure it out before he goes for surgery. Not exactly the kind of trips I like to make to Winnipeg but we will make the most of it with a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpas. Our little man has always been such a trooper at all of his appointments and continues to amaze us every time!
Hey Ashleigh:
ReplyDeleteWe will be praying for you all throughout this journey. For now the waiting must seem like an eternity ... our prayers is that God will continue to provide His peace so that you will rest and be strong for Kaydon!
